My husband and I are sick of the paycheck-to-paycheck life and when I got layed off from my job in August, we started looking at online businesses also. We have looked at and even joined a few.
THIS is the truth... There's NOTHING out there where you can get started today and expect a return on your investment for at least 2 or 3 months. But, there are some good businesses. There are awesome products from MLMs. Products you'll never find in the store, but take a significant investment of money and time to get an ROI (return on investment).

We are starting to see how we will be making at least a regular $500++ per month by year-end. That may not sound like a lot of money to you, but for us, it will change our lifestyle and we believe it will be a LOT more by February. Enough for my husband to leave his job at Lowes and come home to help me with this.
Peoplestring is a company that just started this year with an MLM marketing plan. It's an online Social Network that pays it's members to use it. Like Facebook or Myspace, but the members receive 70% of the advertising revenue. Also, they have implemented Mailbox Cashbox, which drives advertising to people's regular offline mailboxes and that mail is worth .30 - $3.00 for each piece to the members.
We received our first check of just $87 during the last week of September, but expect our next one to be double that and grow exponentially after this company goes 'public' in the next couple of weeks. I haven't found another business you can get started with NOTHING and start getting an INFINITE ROI that is so well worth pursuing.
